---- — NEW RICHLAND — Tri-City United and Waterville-Elysian-Morristown won team titles on Tuesday at the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva cross country meet at Riverside Golf Club.
TCU won the boys meet with 39 points. Mankato Loyola/Cleveland was second with 43 and host NRHEG was third with 86. The WEM/JWP Grizzlies were fourth (93), Blooming Prairie was fifth (106), Maple River was sixth (122); Medford was seventh (150); and Madelia-Truman/Martin Luther was eighth (181).
T.J. Schlitz of host NRHEG was the medalist in 16:13. Teammates Raece Johnson (16th, 18:38) and Adam Anderson (17th, 18:39) also cracked the top 20.
The Crusaders' Wyatt Elmer finished second overall in 17:09. He was followed by teammates Landon Javens (4th, 17:20), Aaron Guentzel (10th, 18:17), Coleton Giefer (13th, 18:23) and Andrew Murray (15th, 18:37).
In the girls nine-team meet, WEM/JWP won with 58 points. Loyola/Cleveland was second (68), TCU was third (83), Austin Pacelli was fourth (89), Maple River finished fifth (104), Blooming Prairie was sixth (130), MTML was seventh (143) and NRHEG placed eighth (145).
Allison Rupp led the Crusaders with a fourth-place time of 16:57. Ester Archer was next for Loyola/Cleveland (7th, 17:26), followed by Laynie Kubista (18th, 18:24), Grace Ellingworth (20th, 18:34) and Alyssa Compton (23rd, 18:42).
NRHEG's Katharine Lewer placed 16th (18:06).
