Gustavus rallies for 45-19 win against St. Olaf

Dubose scores three times in 45-19 win

(Continued)

Dubose scored from the 1 with 9:42 to play before St. Olaf answered with a 15-yard TD run by David Skandera against the Gustavus reserves on the final play of the game.

Dubose, quarterback Mitch Hendricks and wideout Boyce all had big days. Dubose had 23 carries for 99 yards and three touchdowns, Hendricks completed 29 of 38 passes for 301 yards and two scores, and Boyce hauled in 13 catches for 150 yards and one TD.

"We knew we just had to get it together after we fell behind in the first quarter," Dubose said. "We had some misfires early on, but we stopped making so many mistakes and came back.

"It was a good effort by our offense. We moved the ball well on the ground and in the air. The defense played well, too."

The win for Gustavus (2-1, 1-1 in MIAC) was the first against the Oles (1-3, 0-2) in 11 years. It was also the Gusties' first homecoming win since 2009.
