ST. BONIFACIOUS — Four players reached double figures for Bethany, helping the Vikings finish the regular season with an 82-66 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference men’s basketball win over Crown College.

Garrett Benson led the Vikings with 19 points, Alex Weldon scored 18 points, Gavin Kroehler scored 16 and Garet Tucker delivered 13.

Crown’s Anthony DiLoreto scored 19 points with 13 rebounds.

Bethany (10-14) begins tournament play Wednesday.

BLC women 92, Crown 52: The Vikings had five players reach double figures, closing out its season with a UMAC win at St. Bonifacious.

Bethany’s Shelby Wiederhoeft and Kasslin Swenson scored 18 points apiece with 10 and 11 rebounds, respectively. Kelsie Ammann scored 17 points with six assists, Briana Brandts scored 12 points with six rebounds and Sarah Rosenau had 11 points.

Judy Mundt scored 25 for Crown (2-19).

Bethany closes out the season 7-17.

Morris 71, MLC women 53: Hannah Hackbarth scored 12 points with nine rebounds as the Knights lost their regular season UMAC finale at the University of Minnesota Morris.

Brittney Gossen led the Knights in scoring with 14 points.

Emily Mehr scored 20 points with 12 rebounds for Minnesota Morris (18-7, 14-0 UMAC).

Martin Luther (11-4, 9-5 UMAC) will attempt to defend last seasons UMAC Conference Championship when it travels to No. 2 seed Northwestern on Wednesday in a semifinal tournament game.

Morris 94, MLC men 67: Galen Holzhueter scored 21 points, but it wasn’t enough as Martin Luther lost the UMAC game at U of M Morris.

The Knights’ Kaleb Buch and Luke Rothe scored 13 apiece.

Brendon Foss led Minnesota Morris (14-11, 9-5 UMAC) with 19 points and nine rebounds.

Martin Luther ends the season 4-21 overall and 3-11 in the UMAC.
