MoonDogs rained out; Will play 2 today

WILLMAR — The scheduled Northwoods League baseball game between the Mankato MoonDogs and the Willmar Stingers on Friday was postponed due to weather.

The game has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader today at Willmar's Bill Tauton Stadium. Starting time is 3:05 p.m.

The postponement follows a split of a doubleheader between the teams on Thursday in Mankato. The MoonDogs won the first game 10-7 and lost the second game 5-0.

Three Stingers' pitchers limited Mankato to three hits in the nightcap. Colin Poche worked the first five innings to get the win and allowed all three hits. He struck out seven and walked one.

Jesse Fuentes smacked two doubles to lead Mankato. Woody Woodward had the only other hit.

Nick Halmanadaris drove in two runs to lead the Stingers
