MSU football team draws second seed in regional

MANKATO — The Minnesota State football team has drawn the second seed in the NCAA Super Region 3 Tournament. The seeds and pairings were announced Sunday afternoon on the NCAA Division II Selection Show.

Northwest Missouri (11-0) is the top seed and will get a first-round bye as will No. 2 seed MSU (11-0).

First-round games will be played Saturday where third seed Henderson State (10-0) will host sixth seed St. Cloud State (10-1) and fourth seed Minnesota Duluth (10-1) will host Emporia State (9-1).

On Saturday, Nov 30, the St. Cloud-Henderson State winner plays at MSU while the UMD-Emporia winner plays at NW Missouri.
