Minnesota State University had four players reach double figures in a 66-54 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference men’s basketball win Saturday.
The 21st-ranked Mavericks cruised to a 32-21 halftime score, but Wayne State made it interesting with a 34-33 second-half in favor of the MSU.
Connor O’Brien, Assem Marei and Zach Romashko scored 13 points apiece. Gage Wooten had 11 points, six rebounds and four assists. O’ Brien hauled in nine rebounds, Assem had six rebounds and Romashko had four rebounds. Zach Monaghan had eight points and dished out six assists.
Amry Shelby and Ryan Rolfzen led Wayne State with 10 points apiece.
MSU (10-1, 6-1 in NSIC) takes on Northern State at 8 p.m. Friday at Bresnan Arena..
