NEW PRAGUE -- New Prague shot 303 on Saturday to finish at 644 and win the New Prague Invitational boys golf tournament, which was played at Creek's Bend Golf Course.
Mankato East finished second in the two-day, 36-hole tournament at 680, followed by Elk River at 683, Owatonna and Prior Lake at 686, Chanhassen at 692, Northfield at 702 and New Ulm at 735.
The medalist was New Prague's Jack Pexa at 144. He won a playoff with Owatonna's Peter Jones.
East's Nick Yess shot 84 Saturday to place fifth at 164. Other East scores Saturday were Josh Sloniker at 87, Carter Haley at 89 and Chris Sadaka at 92.
East and Mankato West play a Big Nine Conference triangular Monday at Winona.
Mankato East girls 221, Belle Plaine 221: Based on the fifth-player tiebreaker, the Cougars won the dual meet at North Links Golf Course.
Caitlin Clause and Emily Stengel both shot 54 for East, while Caylin Steinberg was at 55 and Amanda Broman at 57. East's fifth-lowest score was a 58 by Alexis Just, which was better than Belle Plaine's fifth player.
Belle Plaine's Ireland Lambrecht was the medalist with a 48, followed by Hannah Johnson at 50, Lexi Stauffacher at 57 and Maddie Hartman at 66.
