Harding recovers to edge Central Missouri

MANKATO —  

Harding University shot 69.2 percent in the first half, building an early lead, but the Bisons had to rally for a 75-71 victory over Central Missouri in the quarterfinals of the Central Region tournament at Bresnan Arena.

Harding led 44-31 at halftime, but the Mules gradually came back, taking the lead at 67-65 with three minutes remaining. Zach Roddenberry's layup and four free throws by Weston Jameson allowed Harding to escape.

Roddenberry finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds, and Jameson had 12 points.

Matt Webb and Widgett Washington each scored 17 points for Central Missouri, and Dominique Long had 15.

Harding (22-8) takes on Minnesota State at 7:30 p.m. in the tournament semifinals at Bresnan Arena.
