MANKATO — Minnesota State had to come from behind four times Saturday night. The Mavericks had to wonder if they'd ever get a lead.

Finally, with 3:28 remaining in overtime, freshman forward Zach Stepan grabbed a rebound and tucked it into the Northern Michigan net behind goalie Mathias Dahlstrom, giving MSU a 5-4 victory and a WCHA first-round playoff sweep over the Wildcats.
