ST. PETER — Paul Peterson, principal of St. Peter Middle/High School, has been chosen as the only finalist in the St. Peter superintendent search.
The School Board interviewed four candidates Thursday for the position, which will be open July 1 after Supt. Jeff Olson retires. The other candidates were: Scott Monson, superintendent in Morris; Christopher Swenson, superintendent in Wyndmere, N.D.; and Ronald Wilke, superintendent in La Crescent-Hokah.
Peterson will go through the final interview process Tuesday, which includes a community meeting at 4 p.m. at the St. Peter High School theater.
The School Board's final interview of Peterson is 6:30 p.m. in the media center and is open to the public. The board will announce its final decision March 17.
