ST PETER — A 34-year-old Le Sueur man was brought to a hospital by ambulance Monday after a crash at the intersection of Highway 169 and Highway 99 in St. Peter.

Blaine Carl Urban was traveling south on Highway 169 in a 1998 Ford Taurus station wagon, a St. Peter Police Department report said. He was traveling in the inside lane and hit a semi trailer being pulled by a semi tractor driven by 40-year-old Brad Woshek, also of Le Sueur.

Woshek had been traveling east on Highway 99 and had crossed the southbound lane of Highway 169. He was in the median of Highway 169 and waiting to turn north. The trailer on Woshek's truck was still in the inside southbound lane of the highway and Urban apparently didn't see it, the report said.

The crash was reported just before 4 p.m. Monday. Urban was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato before being transferred to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, where he was in serious condition Tuesday.
