Former St. Peter woman's remains reportedly found in Colorado

BAILEY, COLO — A Denver TV station is reporting that the family of a former St. Peter woman have been told the remains of Annie Meyer, missing since Feb. 7, have been found in Park County.

The TV station reported the remains were found near Old Stagecoach Road in Bailey on July 4, according to Wheat Ridge Police. People called the Park County Sheriff's Office after finding what appeared to be human remains near their cabin.

Wheat Ridge Police investigated the report Monday morning and sent officers to Park County. Neither the sheriff's office nor Wheat Ridge Police have confirmed the remains are Meyer's.

Meyer's family confirmed to 7NEWS TV that the Park County Coroner told them the remains are Meyer's.

Meyer was last seen leaving work early after feeling sick. She was reported missing on March 3 and would now be 52. The Free Press reported on her family's search for answers earlier this year.

Officers have wanted to question Annie's roommate, Melissa Miller, but she has refused to meet with investigators. Miller has retained an attorney.

A Free Press report on May 23 quoted a detective working to find Meyer saying there is a good chance the Colorado case would turn into a murder investigation.

Wheat Ridge Police said they are planning a press conference for Tuesday to announce their findings.
