— Katie Marie Appel and Marcus Allen Beer were married May 10, 2008 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Janesville. Father Syl Brown officiated.
Parents of the couple are Rick and Laurie Appel of Waterville and David and Mari Beer of Morristown.
Maid/matron of honor was Sheila Appel and best man was Brian Morrison.
Bridesmaids were Amy Barker, Shalaine Thomson and Allison Beer with Ava Appel as honorary bridesmaid.
Groomsmen were Jesse Appel, Jeremy Appel and Chad Thomson.
Katie Marie Appel graduated Waterville-Elysian-Morristown High School in 2004 and is employed by the State of Iowa Child Support Department.
Marcus Allen Beer graduated Waterville-Elysian-Morristown High School in 2003, served four years in the US Navy in Yokuska Japan until July 2007, and is employed as Operations Supervisor by Archer Daniels Midland in Iowa.
A reception was held at Country Inn & Suites in Mankato. Following a trip to Riviera Maya Mexico, the couple is home in Ankeny, Iowa.
