The Waseca girls basketball team faced the undefeated Vikings from Pelican Rapids in a Class AA state quarterfinal game played at Williams Arena on Wednesday. In a tight first half, Camryn McQuery's layup to beat the clock was the only thing to separate the two teams at the half. In the second half, the Bluejays continued with their stifling defense, giving up only 22 points in the end. Hannah Potter lead Waseca and all scorers with 12 points, all coming by way of the three-pointer. The Bluejays will play against Rochester Lourdes in a semifinal game on Friday at Williams Arena.
