NORTH MANKATO — It has been said that the main difference between men and boys is the size of their toys.
Local adult race fans regressed a bit by participating in Pinewood Derby races that have been a traditional activity reserved for school-aged Cub Scouts.
Some 30 race teams participated in the first annual Adult Pinewood Derby Race event, designing and building their Pinewood entries and then soliciting pledges to raise money for local Scouting programs.
Entries were judged by their design and speed with the first place entries winning a trophy and $250.
In addition to the races and design contest, a silent auction also was held.
