A Mankato pedestrian was killed in an early-morning accident near Lowry on Saturday.
Wesley R. Tessman, 27, of Mankato, has been identified by the State Patrol as the pedestrian who was killed after being struck by a 2004 Saturn driven by James D. Poock, 34, of Glenwood. The accident occurred around 1:20 a.m. and Poock did not suffer any injuries, according to the report.
The accident occurred on Highway 114 in Pope County, which is a two-lane, undivided blacktop highway where the accident occurred. The report stated the road conditions were dry.
A State Patrol dispatcher said further details are unavailable and the incident remains under investigation.
