MANKATO — Open Door Health Center has added Ashley Turrittin, D.D.S., as the newest member of its dental team.
Turrittin joins a team of six staff dentists but she is the first pediatric dentist.
“Since Open Door began providing dental services in Mankato in 1997, and through our school based dental outreach screening program that served over 1,800 children in the Greater Mankato Area, we’ve continued to see children with severe or urgent oral health needs." COO Jen Theneman said in a statement.
"While our dentists have always served children, the opportunity to add Dr. Turrittin, who specializes in the unique needs of children, to the team is so exciting for us,"
Turrittin received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Pediatric Dentistry from Boston University. She performed residencies at Franciscan Hospital for Children in Brighton, Mass.; East Boston Neighborhood Health Center and Boston Medical Center.
