ST. PETER — A 22-year-old Mankato man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after he tried to stop his motorcycle when a tree fell onto Highway 169 several miles north of St. Peter Saturday afternoon.
The State Patrol reports Luke Hein was taken to River’s Edge Hospital in St. Peter after the accident, which took place at about 3:50 p.m. Saturday.
Hein was driving southbound on Highway 169 on his Triumph motorcycle when the tree fell on the highway. Hein attempted to stop but couldn’t and hit the tree.
The State Patrol reports Hein wore a helmet and road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
