WINNEBAGO — Winnebago will get $5.5 million in loans and grants from the state to replace sanitary sewer and water mains in the northwest part of the city.

The funding was announced by the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority, which approved $17.93 million in loan and grant funding for water infrastructure projects that also included Faribault, Sacred Heart and Arden Hills.

Winnebago will get a $2.2 million loan from the Clean Water Revolving Fund, a $2.8 million loan from the Drinking Water Revolving Fund and a $600,000 grant from the DEED Small Cities Development Program.
