Arrested man shouldn’t

have been later let go

On Jan. 23, The Free Press ran a front-page story of a man stuck in a snow bank. He was arrested and after he was taken in, he was searched and they found six bags of crack cocaine and $1,885 cash on his person. They then found he was a person of interest in a Chicago shooting.

The first clue here is that he was not of our area.

He then went before Judge Walker, was fined $2,000 and released from custody.

I would like to comment on this story. First of all, did he pay his fine with that $1,885 that they found on him?

Shame on Judge Walker, does he really expect this man to come back and face up to the charges?

What’s going on in Blue Earth County? People should be asking about this story.
